Looking for Indian Artifacts

Linda and I went out this week to a dig north of Uvale, Texas.  A dig is a place where you are allowed to dig and keep artifacts that you might be lucky enough to find.  I liked this site because they did the digging for you.  They had a Bobcat that loaded up the dirt and placed it on sifting table.  All we had to do was sift through the dirt until we found something.

Artifact Dig 006  We had a nice time and Linda found some nice pieces.  I had a nice time and found a bunch of broken pieces.

B-24

Stinson field had a B-24 flowed in for the weekend and the public was allowed to take a self guided tour of the aircrafts.  I was amazed at how cramped it was inside the aircraft.  I don’t know how they moved around wearing parachutes and Mae West.

B-17,B-24 042_800x536 There was a veteran there in his WWII uniform.  He had flown in the B-24 during the later days of the war in Italy.  He had quite a few stories to tell.  There were quite a few of other veterans there taking the tour.  Many of them there with their Grandsons.

B-17

There was  a mini air show at a local airport near the house last weekend.  Stinson field is supposed to be the 2nd oldest airfield in the United States.  They flew in this B-17 for the weekend.
