Rick and Rose Shibley
For those that follow this blog and don't know the Shibleys, let me introduce them to you. Rick and Rose are some very old and dear friends of mine that I first met while stationed at Zweibrucken, Germany in the early 70s and then later we also worked together at E-Systems and lived in Fredrickburg, VA. We quit E-Systems about the same time and I came to Texas and Rick and Rose went home to MT. They currently live in Clancy. MT.
Rick and Rose recently sent me a Christmas letter and some photographs that I wanted to share with our mutual friends.
Don't forget you can click on the images and that will put them in another window and make them bigger and easier to read and see.
Rick, Rose, dog and the kids
House 09-05 This is Rick and it looks like he is gather firewood for the winter time.
NC Kids 11-05 I am guessing but I think this is Len in the background and his two children next to Rick. The boy is the splitting image of Len when he was that age.
This was labeled Rock 2. It is Rose and their dog sitting on a rock in the snow. Burr

Mike the Protector
I was taking a nap in my recliner this afternoon and Mike was also taking a nap. As he does so often, he was sleeping under the foot rest of my recliner. He has learned very quickly that when he hears me start to sit up to move out of the way. He must have been sleeping very sound this afternoon and was a little late getting out of the way. He made it without getting hit by the chair but he was so startled that he saw a reflection in the glass doors of my cabinet that holds all my stereo stuff for the TV. He started barking and growling at the corner and it took me a minute to figure out what he was barking at. After I figured it out and went over there and showed him that everything was okay. He went over and took a look for himself. He sat there for quite a few minutes studying himself in the reflection.
Maybe I need to put a mirror at floor level so he can look at himself more often.

The New Cowboy Stadium
Margaret, Jack and I were in the Dallas area the weekend of Dec. 12th, 2008 for the Beene Family Christmas party and we drove around Arlington early on Saturday morning and went by the new Cowboy Stadium. I am not sure what the official name of the stadium or even if it has been named. It is pretty impressive.
