Morning Walk 4/11/2013 Mission San Jose

Since the roads were muddy this morning, I decided to go to Mission San Jose for my morning walk.  It is a nice place for walking and watching people.  It was cold to me and I put on a light jacket.  You could tell who the tourists were from by the clothes they wore.  The Yankees had on shorts and the Texans had on coats.

As I was walking up to the Mission I noticed two ladies who were about to take a picture of each other standing next to the sign.  I offered to take a picture of the two of them together.  They appreciated the offer and both of them handed me their camera.  They thanked me and then another couple asked me to take their picture and then another couple.  This went on for about 10 different couples.  Once I turned around and found people taking pictures of me taking pictures.  It was funny and I was just trying to be Texas friendly.

I finally made it to the inside of the mission.  They have been working on the front of the Chapel for several months and have finally got it finished.  They did a  good job.

 

You can see on the right side of the photo where they are working on restoring the Rose Window.

Apparently the people working on the restoration had sense of humor based on the things they left behind.
