Mission San Juan

They have completed the restoration of Mission San Juan.  They are still working on the landscaping but the Chapel is finished.  They have also opened the walking and bicycle trails along the San Antonio River.  I didn’t go that route today.

This is near the new entrance to the park.

They painted the Chapel but left the rest in it natural state.  They said that there was no plans to do the other buildings and there were no plans to paint any mosaics on the Chapel like might have been painted by the Indians.

Some of you might remember the huge crack in the wall of the Chapel.  It has been repaired.

I took the walk next to the Chapel that has been there for a long time.  I am sure many of you remember it.  There were not any flowers out this time but this little fellow wanted his picture taken.

Then I came home and found this little guy waiting on my gate to greet me.  It has been a good morning.
