Late walk

Mike and I got started late this morning on our walk.  We normally like to get out by at least 7:30 so it is still a little cool but I got busy this morning and time slipped away and next thing I knew it was 9:00.  It wasn't too bad this morning, it seems like all the really hot weather is north of us around Dallas where they have had several days over 100 while I don't believe we have had any or maybe one or two that snuck in there.

We walked down to the Picnic area and while it was a nice walk we really didn't see much.  The birds were singing and the fish were jumping but other than that, it was quiet.

I did see an Egret way off up the river and I tried to take a picture of it but it was too far off.  I like to watch them fly along the river.  They follow the course of the river and look so clean with their white feathers against the greens and the browns of the rest of the country.
