Muddy Walk
We got some rain from Huricane Dolly and the roads have been too bad for walking for the past two days except for the driveways and that isn't very exciting or fun. I couldn't stand it any longer and neither could Mike so we got out this morning and went for a walk. It wasn't too bad and the mud will dry and shake off the soles of my shoes and Mike is light enough on his feet so he didn't even get muddy.
I was a cactus blooming that I haven't seen for several years. I saw a cactus like this one blooming the day I heard about Gerlinde passing away and I named it after her. I am not sure what happened to Gerlinde's cactus because I haven't seen it in over a year. Maybe this one will take the other's place.
We didn't see any pigs but we sure saw evidence of them all over the road. This low place in the road has to be one of their favorite places after a rain.
Mike thinks he is a hunting dog. The trouble with him is that within a few minutes he will find something else that captures his attention and he loses the scent. He is still a puppy and he sure likes to get out and explore.
